JOURNALISM & LONG-FORM WRITING

While I graduated from Marietta College (Ohio) with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2007, I’ve mostly treated long-form writing as an art form over the years, writing pieces that reflect a belief or something I’m particularly curious or passionate about. I’ve covered a range of subjects over the years, though I tend to gravitate toward pieces rooted in innovations in sustainability, ways folks are leveraging tech for the greater good, human stories, first-person travel, music, and the explorations of soul. My work has been published by outlets including Backpacker Magazine, Alaska Magazine, VentureBeat, Reuters, and Irish Examiner. I’ve had other work mentioned by The New York Times, Scientific American, The Guardian, USA Today, and NPR's StateImpact. These are a handful of my bylines.
